the Location

Only a thirty-five minute drive from Dartmouth College and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Haverhill Corner is also close to the White Mountains for hiking, fishing, skiing and breathtaking scenery. The Connecticut River, the boundary between New Hampshire and Vermont, is also a prominent feature of the local landscape and is easily accessible to boaters. The Dartmouth College Outing Club's Ravine Lodge on the side of Mount Moosilauke is only a half-hour from Haverhill Corner.

“…lovely and picturesque with its broad intervales, splendid mountains, and peaceful river winding in the sweeps and reaches of the Oxbow; so lovely that Longfellow declared Haverhill the most beautiful spot he ever had seen.” - Stagecoach and Tavern Days, 1900
